Rossen Madjov

Rossen Madjov, MD, PhD, DSc, is a Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of Varna, Bulgaria. He obtained his MD in 1983, surgical specialization in 1988, oncology specialization in 2007, PhD in 1999, and Doctor of Medical Science (DSc) in 2008. He has served as Head of the 2nd Department of Abdominal Surgery (2003–2024), Vice Rector of the Medical University of Varna (2004–2012), and Chairman of its General Assembly (2012–2020). A past President and Board Member of the European Society of Surgery, he is active in multiple international surgical societies. His clinical focus includes hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, GI surgical oncology, and herniology, with over 300 scientific publications.
