Ciprian Duta

Prof. Ciprian Constantin Duta, MD, PhD is Professor of Surgery at Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara, and Chief of the Surgical Department at the University of Timișoara since 2021. He is a recognized expert in thoracic, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, with major clinical and research interests in gastric cancer, obesity surgery, minimally invasive techniques, colorectal cancer diagnostics, and surgical education. He is a former President of the European Society of Surgery and the Romanian Association of Endoscopic Surgery. Prof. Duta is the holder of a Romanian medical patent and recipient of international surgical awards, with extensive leadership, teaching, and clinical experience.
