Guido Gasparri is a senior surgeon and academic with a long career at the University of Torino, where he progressed from assistant professor to full professor of general surgery. He directed major university surgical departments in Torino, led specialist training programs, and has a long-standing focus on endocrine and esophageal surgery.
He has performed more than 6,000 operations as first surgeon and published over 230 scientific papers. His main expertise lies in parathyroid surgery, with extensive personal experience in both primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism, along with significant work in thyroid and esophageal disease.
Across his career, he has been active in national and international surgical societies, serving as President of the Italian Society of Endocrine Surgery, the Italian Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and the Società Piemontese di Chirurgia. He is also an honorary member or fellow of several European and international surgical bodies and has served as a UEMS examiner since 2010.
Since 2014, he has continued his work as a private surgeon, maintaining his long-standing commitment to high-level surgical practice and academic contribution.
